CONGREGATION DOR TAMID
5786/2025 HIGH HOLY DAY TICKETS (MEMBER & GUESTS), PARKING (ACCESSIBLE and PAID RESERVED), PRAYERBOOK, CHILD CARE, CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES, USHER, AND YIZKOR BOOK

August, 2025

Dear Friends,

We are fast approaching our season of renewal and repentance and with it the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.  As we enter in to this New Year of 5786, I am looking forward to joining together with each of you in our Holy Day services.

This part of the year is always full of opportunities to gather together, strengthen our community, and engage in the holy process of cheshbon hanefesh, the accounting of our souls.

Our celebration of the Holy Day season, from selichot through Simchat Torah will include a number of opportunities to participate in different ways.  Last year, we added an additional meditative Eleh Ezk'rah experience on Yom Kippur.  This meditative hour in the afternoon will return this year and will include music and readings focused on communal moments of memory in our people's history.

Here is some additional important information:
  • We will welcome back our shofar choir on Rosh Hashanah morning.  If you would like to join us and blow the shofar, please email Doug Katz at doug@katzrus.com.
  • Tashlich will be held at the lake in Webb Bridge Park on the first day of Rosh Hashanah at 1:00pm.
  • During the Days of Awe between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, you will have the opportunity to come to the synagogue, hear your loved ones names being recited, place a rock on the table in their memory, and spend some private and prayerful moments in front of the open Ark.
  • Additionally, we will be continue to include our ritual of the rocks during Yizkor on Yom Kippur afternoon.
  • We will include a Healing Service on Yom Kippur afternoon between Mincha (afternoon services) and Yizkor.
Childcare and Children's programming will be held during both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur morning services for any child aged 19 months through 2nd grade.  Additionally, Family services will be held during the afternoon of each holiday.

This year, when you arrive at CDT for services during the High Holy Days, you will, like always, be greeted by our volunteer ushers. However, THERE WILL BE NO PRINTED TICKETS REQUIRED FOR ENTRY.

Please make sure to fill out all of the information below and submit it by September 5.

I wish you all an early shanah tovah and am looking forward to seeing you soon for the Holy Days.

B'shalom,

Rabbi Jordan
