Gan Tamid is a community garden for the congregants of Dor Tamid, a reform synagogue in Johns Creek, GA.  It was founded in 2008 by Linda Barton, a member of Dor Tamid, who had a vision for a community garden to grow fresh, healthy produce for donation.  Weekly trips are made to local food banks and/or coops, during the summer harvest.

It began with 2 small raised beds, and has now grown to a size of 40’X60’ encompassing eight 4X8 and four 3X3 raised beds, an extensive Muscadine grape arbor, and a large field garden used mainly to grow food for donation.  Weekly trips are made to local food banks and/or coops, during the summer harvest.

The raised beds can be adopted for a small fee every year and the gardeners participate in growing produce, flowers and herbs for both themselves and for donation to the community.

Contact Gan Tamid Chair, Lesley Radov or the Social Action Committee to volunteer in the garden or for more information.  Click here to email Lesley.
